With the rising of cases all over the world, you want to make sure that the hotel room you will be staying at will have a high level of standards of cleanliness. Even higher than what you do at home. It’s easy to doubt that just by imagining the number of guests that goes in and out of the hotel room.

If you need to stay at a hotel whether it is for traveling or making your way home, read away for tips on how to properly clean and sanitize your hotel room.

• Look for convenience store or grocery nearby to get some disinfectants
Pick travel wipes with the right disinfecting ingredients. Lysol Spray and Clorox wipes would be your best pick. If you prefer a much stronger disinfecting properties that are used for hospitals, be sure to wear gloves as they may be harmful for your skin.

• Wash Your Hands
Even before Covid 19 outbreak, we’ve been told thousand times the importance of washing our hands. This will help in preventing the spread of the virus and germs.

• Open a Window or Balcony
Virus particles from coughing and sneezing or even talking are emitted into the air. Droplets of it can stay for hours. Opening the balcony or a window for a couple of minutes can replenish the air inside.

• Ask decorative pillows and bedspread to be removed
Rumor has it that not all hotels wash their bedspread and decorative pillows every after guest. To be on the safe side, ask for it to be removed.

• Wipe Down Keycards, Door Handles and Light Switches
These are high touch areas and are used by everyone in the room so make sure you wipe down as soon as you arrived.

• Refrain from using the Glassware inside your room
Some may not have been washed or disinfected or worst, it may have been used and was just rinse by previous guest. Avoid using the glasses just to be safe.
